The Annan Family Donates to UCC Hospital

The family of J. J. K. Annan has donated medical items to the University Hospital to bring some relief to clients.

The donation was made in memory of their parents, Sir Knight J. J. K. Annan, and Mrs. Monica Annan who are both deceased.

Support to the Aged

Presenting the items on behalf of the family, Ms. Jacinta Martina Annan, said the family decided to make the donation to the University Hospital to help provide support to the aged and the patients who are unable to walk well. She appealed to the staff of the Hospital to take good care of the gadgets so as to serve the purpose for which they were donated.

Gratitude

The Director, Directorate of University Health Services, Dr. Evans Ekanem, who received the items, expressed gratitude to the Annan Family for their kind gesture and added that, “These items will go a long way to assist the work that is being done here, because it is clear and obvious that the hospital needs more of these gadgets to assist medical service.” He assured that the Hospital would put the gadgets to good use to improve quality health care delivery. He used the occasion to appeal to other individuals and organisations to support the University Hospital to help deliver quality health care to clients.

The items presented were a Wheel Chair, Quadripod Walking Stick, and a Zimmer Frame.
